- “Transformation” CD is picked up by Amazon.com. The Upton Trio adds taverns and coffeehouses to its performance venues.

- Dusan Vukajlovic joins the trio as cellist and plays for the first time with the Trio, Saint Saens Piano Trio No.2

- The Upton Trio plays at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York

- The Upton Trio “Transformation” CD is released online by CD Baby. “The Four Elements” is performed for the first time to stunned audiences.

- “Fundamental Forces: The Music of Science” commences a cross-disciplinary educational program that causes standardize test scores to go up dramatically.

- “American Dance Suite” debuts: a sweeping retrospective of the history of American Dance.

- A long and moving piece “Evocation” comes out. The Trio performs at the Three Rivers Music Festival in Columbia, SC. Their CD Evolutions is distributed and tracks are heard nationwide on NPR.

- The Trio begins to play original compositions in addition to works by other modern living composers including a ballet for the Cleveland Dancing Wheels

- Collaborated with Hootie and the Blowfish members in a special concert sponsored by the Animal Mission.

- Worked closely with composer Miera Warshauer resulting in a concert of all Jewish music.
